I sent this Q&A page to Val and here's her replies:

1.  If you retire, what are you plans?  (Man Val, don't retire:)

At this time, I really do not know what I would like to do after basketball. But whatever I do, I hope to have a positive influence on kids and people in General.

2.  Name one player who was your toughest opponent and why?

Natalie Willliams-She's very stong, physically.

3.  Who was your role model when you were growing up?

My Mother.

4.  What's the major difference in playing overseas vs. in the United States?

The level of play.  In the USA every player on every team is fundamentally sound. The level of play is much higher here in the states.

5.  The Quest are a "relaxed" bunch, do you think that partly lead to the team's success?

I think that was a key to our success.  We worked extremely hard in practice and for games we were confident in what we were able to do because we practiced so hard and were well-prepared. Therefore, we could be "relaxed" in the sense that we just could enjoy the games and put it in "automatic pilot" mode.
