1. When did you become interested in basketball?
As early as I can remember. I grew up playing nerf basketball in the
house with my brother. We took it to the alley with our court on the
garage, then to the parks, always with the guys.
2. Who was your role model growing up?
My parents have always been role models for me.
3. Name one player who was your toughest opponent and why?
My brother, Kevin was always my toughest opponent because he knew my
weaknesses, while others didn't, and he knew how to exploit them. He
also knew how to challenge me mentally, pushing me further than an
"outsider" ever would. Thus, I'm tough enough to endure and overcome
anything any player could ever come at me with.
4. What's the strongest part of your game?
I think the fact that I can always manage to get to the basket and
score. I'm versatile player, whose size is deceptive for what I do on
the court.
5. What's the major difference in playing overseas vs. in the United
States?
I believe there is more freedom over-seas. Americans are usually
respected and allowed to be very inclusive in decision-making in game
situations. Perhaps, there are less egos involved in over-seas
coaching.
6. What are your plans after basketball?
I intend to stay involved with basketball through a broadcasting or
Public Relations job. Or, perhaps pursue my Masters' Degree in Speech
Pathology. In addition, I intend on having some type of business to
tend to while my husband and I raise our family.
