Well the Rally was fun and sad...it REALLY meant the end:) One thing is for sure, those girls sure are classy, I hope to see them ALL in the WNBA!
For two years and 14 games I've had the privledge to watch the BEST in women's hoops play...THE QUEST! Unfortunely that has came to an end.� The ABL closed operations on December 22nd, 1998. I am thankful for these past 2+ years, I've met some GREAT people at the games (You Blizz fans know who you are:) and had a blast celebrating 2 championships with the classiest team in the world! No one can match the heart and determination that the Quest had...NO ONE. I've never seen a team band together like this team, it was like whatever they were hit with something (and the Quest fans KNOW how much they were hit with) they used that as a driving force. For two years people said, they are to small, they won't get anywhere, etc...all I can say to that is REPEAT...and it was sweet! I applaude Tonya for taking over as player/coach this season, that was a classy move, by a classy player, my hat goes off to you Ice! But I also wanna thank Brian Agler, he formed this team, it was his doing and his system that won us the championships, he's something else, and it was fun to watch, good luck in Minnesota (snag some of the girls:). I would also like to thank the entire team, how you played throughout all this is beyond me...Ice, Andrea, Peewee, Sonja, Angie, Lisa, Latina, Shanele, and Stacey. You are all incredible players as well as incredible people...true champions. Katie and Val, we lost A LOT when we lost you two during the beginning of the season, but you both NEVER gave up and were always there for the team. And Bev, DARN, didn't get to see you in a Quest uniform, would've been FUN, thanks for being the assistant!!! And Andrea, it took a lot for you to come out of retirement, but that shows how much of a leader you are...thank you! To all the fans of the ABL, it's been a blast, wish it didn't have to end!
