Shannon "Peewee" Johnson

This page is about one of the most competitive players on the Quest team.  Peewee, who played college ball at South Carolina, was a pre-season candidate for the Naismith College Player of the Year in her junior season.  She's a 3-Time All SEC selection who scored 2,230 pts. in her college career (2nd All Time South Carolina scorer).  She was also selected as a Kodak All-American Honorable Mention.  For all her college accomplishments, Peewee was inducted into the South Carolina Hall Of Fame.

Peewee was a gold medalist for the '93 US Olympic Festival Team, as well as a 2-Time member of the Jones Cup Team, winning a bronze medal in '95 and a gold in '96.

Eventhough she was one of the youngest members of the team, Peewee provided leadership to the Quest with her excellent ball-handling ability and speed.  Peewee was the 1996-97 ABL Three-point shooting leader, averaging 47.9%, hitting 69 of 144 shots.  She was finally given her props in the '97-'98 season when she was selected to the '98 All-Star Game, along with 3 other Quest players.
