Andrea Lloyd #5

Andrea attended the University of Texas ('83-'87), scoring 1,589 pts. and grabbing 1,107 rebounds.  She was a member of the '86 National Championship team, which finished with a 34-0 record.  Andrea was a Kodak All-American ('85-'87) and a USBWA All-American.  She was a 1st Team Southwestern Conference player of the decade and a SWC Player of the Year ('86-'87).  She won an Olympic Gold Medal in 1988.

Andrea played with Valerie Still for 1 season in Italy.  She played in Italy for 9 years, winning 2 Italian League Championships and 1 European Championship.

Andrea has come on strong this season in the ABL after battling with knee and back problems in '97.  Not only can she play the power forward spot, she can also handle the ball pretty well.  She sometimes leads the attack up the court for the Quest.

I used to follow the Texas team back in the mid-eighties and Andrea was my favorite player.  Never did I think I would get to see her play live.  The ABL is a good thing:)
